THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLES OF MONEY

Principle Number Seven

How safe is the word “safe?”

Pastor Maselo Mosomane

“Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ ” Matthew 25: 24-25.

Fear is a spirit and does not need to be psychoanalyzed. You don’t psychoanalyze a spirit; you cast it out in the Name of Jesus. The bible says fear is a spirit. Spiritual problems are dealt with spiritually. Mental attempts will only suppress the spirit for it to surface at a later stage with seven times wicked power. (Matthew 12:45)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” If it is not God who gives us the spirit of fear, whom do you think this spirit could be coming from? Spirits have two sources: God or Satan. The above verse clearly states that God has not given us the spirit of fear. This needs no debate or interpretation. The spirit of fear comes from Satan. Satan is the source of fear. It doesn’t matter whether you believe there is such a thing as Satan or not, he will still be the source of all fear. He doesn’t need our stamp of approval to exist. By denying his existence you are doing him a great favour for he works better under cover.

Listen to what Paul says about Jesus; “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” (Hebrews 12: 2–3)

Jesus did not see the cross as a risk; He saw it as a challenge and did not play it safe. He invested Himself for He counted the profit of his enterprise. He knew this investment statement: the higher the risk the higher the profit. He went for it, not considering His safety. The final product was more important to Him than safety. Today Christianity is the largest religion in the whole world because Jesus was willing to take a risk; even to the point of giving up His live on that cruel cross of Calvary.

When you perceive the reward to be greater than the risk, you become willing to sacrifice certain things in your life for your mind is focused on the prize that lies ahead. This is the attitude we must develop if we are to transcend beyond risk and stop holding back in the name of safety.

Many people could have been successful long time ago if it was not for the sense of safety, the sense of security and the sense of comfort. We’ve been trained to survive more than anything else. Every time we meet with what look like a threat, we instinctively slide for cover. This makes us channel all our energy in the direction of an anticipated danger or loss; irrespective of whether it is indeed there or not. Oftentimes there would be no danger at all.

We are not talking about survival here. We are talking about going beyond the point of survival and start releasing power from within, and become what God intended for us to be. We are not created to play safe at the expense of our success. No! Man is born adventurous.

How safe is the word “safe?” This game of life is not safe at all and it is not for timid people. It is not for mama’s babies. We are not in this world because it is a safe place to be. If you are really serious about safety: I advice you to give up the ghost and get out of here as real quick as possible. Quit! Die; and get a decent burial. You will be safe for a long, long time. No one will bother you at the graveyard. This is why they engrave RIP on your grave. Enjoy it: you deserve it. This is my free advice and I won’t send you any bill for it.

This world offers no one any safety. Everything in this world is capable of failing you. Even the best plan; the most watertight plan can still fail. No! Don’t be held back by any fear of risk. I like risks. Risks are meant to scare away opportunists who are not prepared to pay the price for anything. BUT THE VIOLET WILL TAKE IT BY FORCE!
